After freezing ourselves in a bitterly cold Texas crop field, nothing could sound better than driving a few miles up the road to Amarillo's other Route 66 offering, the Big Texan, "home of the free 72 ounce steak" pictured below, yea, they have a sample on ice as you walk in. Not sure if you have to eat all the kale but, aside from this burly sirloin they do make you eat a salad, two rolls, 4 fried shrimp and a huge baked potato. Free if you can, otherwise you're in for something like 60 bucks! Either way you lose...
